Sur La Table Online Culinary Institute

Sur La Table Online Culinary Institute is a series of online courses offered for the culinary enthusiast or those interested in starting a career in the culinary field. Affordable courses are offered in a bite-sized length (2-4 hours) or full length (55 hours). The launch, Fall of 2020, was timely, where increased time spent at home yielded an increased desire to develop culinary skills.
The brand was created and developed as a partnership with Sur La Table and Strategic Education, Inc. The culinary programming had just launched when they needed an email nurture program, social marketing, and web optimizations to create awareness and increase course enrollments.
A lead nurture email program (a series of 6 emails) was designed for those who expressed interest in the courses. I created a mini design system, in which other emails could be built out easily and consistently.
I designed emails that were sent from Sur La Table to all of their general list subscribers to promote online courses.
I designed emails that were sent from Capella University and Strayer University to cross promote these culinary courses that have the ability to transfer credits into a degree program (non-culinary).
Social
Most social content was created for Scott Conant’s facebook and Instagram. Conant, known for judging Chopped (among other things), is the Master Chef for the program, overseeing course development and offering tips and recipes throughout the course.
Social content included instagram stories and posts and facebook posts.
Web optimizations
Following an MVP launch, there were several pages that needed to be built and sections that needed to be optimized, while utilizing existing components from the content management system (AEM).
