Capella University is an accredited online university that serves busy, working adults seeking to advance their career by earning a bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral degree, or a certificate. Capella offers flexible degree programs for part-time students and it’s curriculum combines theory and real-world application.

The goal of redesigning the home page was: campaign alignment (based on a new campaign), show who Capella is, and get users to engage further with the site (click to see if Capella offers their desired program if this is their first visit). The page launched in January 2019.
Landing Page Re-Design
The goal of this project was to deliver an experience better suited to user needs that would lead to an increase in inquiries. Many research studies indicated the user needs: does Capella have my program, what are the program basics, is Capella credible and is this school a good fit. The page was created and developed in an agile framework that included research, empathy mapping, journey mapping and slicing, creative concepting to align with new brand standards, and development.
Four landing pages were tested against the previous design (A/B, 50/50) and the new design outperformed the control. Variations of the new design will be rolled out on dozens of landing pages.
